ePOP's Inaugural House Concert

Where it all began!

 

ePOP is the brainchild of General & Artistic Director Katrina Thurman and her husband, Bobb Hawkey. A big opera fan and an oft-seen supernumerary with Opera Philadelphia, Bobb often mused with Katrina on how they might draw upon their connections to bring opera and classical music into the neighborhood. In December of 2019, they presented a packed concert at their home in East Passyunk, and ePOP was born.

 

That first concert featured Ashley Marie Robillard, Will Liverman, Katrina Thurman, and pianist Aurelien Eulert. Bobb Hawkey emceed and Kai the dog approved.
