The inaugural Philly Pride Arts Festival is set to inaugurate this month. Here is a rundown of vocal performances on offer.
June 6 - East Passyunk Opera Project presents “Fear & Self-Loathing in Philadelphia,” a Pride cabaret featuring Balena Canto, Ashley Marie Robillard, Lauren Cook, and Jonathan Pierce Rhodes, with pianist Reese Revak.
June 12 - Wear Yellow Proudly and East Passyunk Opera Project present “Love Notes Special Edition: Memoirs of a Gaysian,” featuring Spencer Britten, Chuanyuan Liu, and Jeremy Chan in a program of classical arias and art song by queer and Asian composers.
June 18 - East Passyunk Opera Project presents a free outdoor concert at Dilworth Park featuring vocalists Nia Drummond and Teddy Balfour, with pianist Aurelien Eulert.
June 25 - Liberty City Arts presents “Opera is a DRAG!” at Franky Bradley’s.
June 26 - Prismatic Arts Ensemble presents “Shakesqueer: A Pride Cabaret,” featuring co-founders Balena Canto and Violet Caballero.
